Salomon has been at the forefront of outdoor culture since their humble beginnings as a ski workshop in the French Alps in 1947, when their cutting-edge boot and binding designs revolutionized alpine and cross-country skiing. Seventy-five years of boundary-pushing footwear innovations later, you’re just as likely to see their performance-first aesthetics and clever color combinations appear on the runway as you are to spot them at the trailhead. Hyperlite Mountain Gear: Southwest 2400

A weekend pack purpose-built for ultralight adventures through rugged, dense terrain

It’s not hard to see why Hyperlite Mountain Gear is an undeniable leader in the ultralight backpacking and thru-hiking worlds. Created by lifelong backcountry explorer and relentless tinkerer Mike St. Pierre, HMG pioneered the use of Dyneema® fibers (an incredible material that’s lighter than Silnylon and stronger than Kevlar) over a decade ago to create ultralight, insanely durable packs for backcountry travelers. Trail-tested for tens of thousands of miles through rugged backcountry environments, the Southwest 2400 is purpose-built for weekend adventures through heavily wooded, incredibly rugged terrain that would tear other ultralight packs to shreds.

Trippy Outdoor: Lil' Trip Chair

8th-century chair design, built with modern-day engineering for the discerning tyke

Trippy Outdoor graduated with top honors from the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” school of thought. Inspired by modular chair designs from eighth-century Africa, Trippy got right to work updating the time-tested concept for the needs of today’s tykes in their Texas workshop. Modern hardware allows the chair to support a half-ton worth of kiddos, and is available in a playful, nature-inspired hue that looks right at home with the lightweight-yet-sturdy maple construction. Built to go from the playroom to the patio, the Lil Trip is the perfect pint-sized addition to your mini-me’s kit. Easy for kids to build, take apart, and carry to their next adventure, this adorable chair is also a blank canvas—with plenty of room for stickers, doodles, handprints, or other art, the Lil Trip is the perfect surface for their creativity to run wild.

Charcoal grilling on a weeknight? You better believe it. Spark Grills’ line of premium, design-forward charcoal grills set out with an ambitious goal: to improve on what is probably the oldest form of cooking known to man. Not exactly a pedestrian task, but one they managed to accomplish with the introduction of their innovative charcoal Briqs—an easy-to-use, single-piece form of charcoal that instantly ignites and reaches fiery temps in less than ten minutes. Their Spark Grill Prime Package has a versatile, dial-controlled temperature range of 250-900°F, effortless electric ignition, a massive grilling area, and plenty of prep space for your next backyard BBQ. Rocky Mountain Featherbed: Heritage Down Puffer Jacket

The iconic born-in-Jackson down jacket, packed with Western style and lofty warmth

Rocky Mountain Featherbed was born amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes and soaring views of Jackson, Wyoming in the late 1960s. Expertly marrying the raw Western style of traditional leather yokes with the alpine-inspired warmth of down, their jackets and vests quickly became indispensably reliable cold-weather garments across the West. This Down Puffer Jacket is carefully sewn in Japan, packed full of toasty warmth, and finished off with their signature one-piece leather yoke that oozes Western style. Throw this bad boy on for cold mornings around town, chilly nights en route to the chalet, and anywhere the forecast calls for stylish, authentic warmth.

Huckberry x Matt McCormick: Decanter + Whiskey Glasses

An exclusive whiskey glassware collection inspired by the American West

Matt McCormick’s multimedia visions of the American West are transcendental and yet immediately familiar. Juxtaposing iconic, nostalgic, and gritty elements of the West, we knew his unmistakable style would be a perfect fit for this exclusive Huckberry x Matt McCormick collection of Whiskey Peaks glassware. This full-package set features a handblown decanter and set of whiskey glasses featuring Matt McCormick’s screenprinted artwork galloping proudly on the front, with the silhouettes of Merrick, East and West Mitten Buttes—three of Monument Valley’s most distinctive physical features—towering in the background. Bonus points: the custom laser-etched wood box and foam cutout padding make for one hell of a gift.

The North Face: 50L Base Camp Duffel

The iconic, indestructible expedition duffel from a titan of the outdoors

There’s only a select few brands that feel right at home everywhere from Himalayan base camps to city streets. Named for the toughest, most unforgiving side of the mountain, The North Face and their athlete team have been pushing the limits of what is possible in the harshest corners of the globe since 1966. Jim Zellers, a pioneer of big mountain snowboarding, said it best: “We were on an expedition to Alaska. We had to fly into the glacier—since the pilot couldn’t see the snow very well, we were tossing Base Camp Duffels out the door, putting them in a line so the pilot could come back around, see the line of duffels and land next to them. We were just chucking them out of the plane, it was no big deal—and everything was fine when we got in there.”

Fog City Vintage: 1989 Rolex Submariner

A vintage 1989 Rolex Submariner with a handsomely aged tritium dial and hands, plus the original 11-link bracelet

Calling the Rolex Submariner “the most popular diving watch in the world”—although true—kind of misses the point. It’s much more than popular. It’s archetypal. It’s the benchmark all other dive watches are measured against. First released in 1953 with a unidirectional bezel that enabled divers to monitor their compression stops and time underwater, it quickly attained icon status as the embodiment of refined luxury.

This Rolex Submariner 16610 was made in 1989, and the folks at Fog City Vintage have done an incredible job sourcing, authenticating, and representing its condition. The stainless-steel case and contrasting black dial maintain the style that has largely gone unaltered since the earliest versions. The original tritium dial and hands have developed a handsome patina over the years, aging to a creamy vanilla color, and the bracelet’s O6 clasp code is a strong indicator this is the original 11-link stainless steel bracelet. Whether you’re dipping your toe in the world of Rolexes or are a fully-immersed collector, you can’t go wrong with this iconic timepiece.
